Welfare Committee

The Chairman of Welfare, supported by the Welfare Committee, has the ability to administer private funds and offer a range of expertise to parishioners who find themselves in short-term financial difficulty.

The Chairman of Welfare is an elected resident of St Martin who serves voluntarily for terms of up to three years, although they can stand for re-election.

Elections are held annually at the beginning of November where applicants and voters must be on the Electoral role for St Martin to be eligible to, stand for the role of Chairman of Welfare, or to nominate a parishioner, second a nomination or vote for a nominee.
